The match was filled with ups and downs. India had won the toss and elected to bat first. When the Indian openers came to the ground for batting, India lost wickets in the early overs. In the powerplay, India scored 45 runs for 3 wickets. However, Virat Kohli came out of the shades to rescue India, he was India’s limited-overs batting hero. Virat was standing as a pillar against the dangerous bowling of South Africa. South Africa seemed to be dangerous when they sent back the Indian captain to the pavilion along with Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav before five overs.

After falling the wickets down instantly of Indian batters, Kohli kept the scoreboard engaging with singles and doubles. Axar Patel supported Virat Kohli on the end after being promoted in the batting order in order to introduce a left-hand right-hand batting combination. Axar hit four sixes and one four in 31 balls and scored 47 runs. His innings had taken the run rate back on track for India. Kohli scored 50 in 48 balls but after he scored 76 runs in 59 balls which helped India to reach in a formidable total for the final match. Shivam Dube also washed his hands in the river, a quick innings where he scored 27 in just 16 balls.

On the other hand, South Africa’s score was 42 runs for 2 wickets at the end of the powerplay. For South Africa, Q de Kock and H Klaasen scored for their team where both of them scored 39 and 52 runs respectively for their team. There was a time when SA needed 30 runs in 30 balls. But the Indian Bowlers have done their best and led India to win the match. The Indian team won the match by 7 runs.
